• For the tasks tab on scrollable widgets: tapping the tasks tab after its already selected now launches the associated app, instead of the expanded preview. To launch the expanded preview (e.g., to change the selected list/folder or the sort order), tap the list button in the top bar.

• Support for German. We are deeply grateful to Enrico Kötteritzsch for translating this app to German.
• v1.8.6
• Support for Kaiten Mail. You can now access your Kaiten email from EA. To open Kaiten messages from EA you will need Kaiten v1.211 or later. Note that due to the way that Android handles permissions, Kaiten needs to be installed before EA. If you installed Kaiten after EA, simply uninstall, then re-install EA (while leaving Kaiten installed) to grant EA the necessary permission. Use Settings/Backup & restore to avoid having to re-enter your settings: backup before uninstalling, restore after re-installing. See Settings/Configure tabs/Manage accounts to select which Kaiten accounts to preview in EA.
• v1.8.5
• fixes a problem that some people were having with the calendar preview.
• v1.8.4
• Improved support for Android 4.0.
• Misc bug fixes.
• v1.8.3
• Support for Google Tasks Organizer by TinjaSoft (both lite & pro). Update to the latest version of the Tasks Add-on, then select in Settings/Configure tabs/Tasks/Select task provider. Note that GTO must be installed before the tasks add-on -- if you installed the add-on first, then simply uninstall & re-install it.
• Top-bar buttons for the classic widget theme. If you would rather not have the top-bar buttons, select 'Classic w/out top-bar buttons' in Settings/Widget options/Theme.
• Earlier changes
• Two new calendar options: hide all-day/multi-day events and show event end-times. See Settings/Configure tabs/Calendar to select either.
• Improved Enhanced EMail integration: Enhanced EMail now notifies EA whenever a message is read or deleted (previously you had to clear the email preview in EA).
• Include meeting location in agenda preview. This is enabled by default, but if you don't want it, just deselect it in Settings/Configure tabs/Calendar.
• Handle Google's recent change to the GMail app. Unfortunately, starting in GMail v2.3.5, Google no longer allows 3rd party apps to access the GMail app's database. However, you can still use the 'Get from Google' option, or if you enable IMAP for your gmail account, then you can also access it using K9 or Enhanced Email.
• Added integration with Enhanced Email by Quantum Solutions
• Custom icons! You can now further customize the look of the interface by selecting your preferred icon for each tab. Use 'Select icon' from any tab in Settings/Configure tabs. You can choose any icon from your Gallery, or from most icon packs available on the Market. In particular, you should be able to use any icon pack that is compatible with either ADW Launcher or BetterCut, or that implements Android\'s default image selection protocol. Note that currently custom icons will only be shown for the classic theme of the EA widget - Sense-like & Glass themes are unaffected. Big thank you to Tha Phlash and Onymous Heroes for their help in understanding the icon picker protocol. Be sure to check out the awesome 'Tha Icon' series of icon packs at http://www.thaicon.thasyndicate.com
• When you send a text using EA, that message will now be recorded in the phone\'s database so it will also show up in the thread when viewed with your Messaging app.
• By default, when you reply to a text, that message will automatically be marked as read and cleared from the SMS tab. Use Settings/Configure tabs/SMS/\'Keep after reply\' if you do not want it cleared.
• Select the maximum number of tasks to preview on the tasks tab: Settings/Configure tabs/Tasks/Max # to show.
• Optionally have the refresh button refresh all tabs. The default is to only refresh the currently selected tab. See Settings/Refresh all.
• Integration with TouchDown by NitroDesk. By default, EA will show your TouchDown email and calendar (if you use those tabs). To see your TouchDown tasks, simply select TouchDown as your task provider in Configure tabs/Tasks.
• Item view for events: if you use the stock Calendar app or TouchDown, clicking on an event will open that event in the associated app.
• Item view for email: if you use TouchDown or K-9, clicking on an email message will open that message in the associated app. Sorry, but we are not aware of any way to do this for the GMail app.
• Item view for tasks: if you use TouchDown, clicking on a task will open that task in TouchDown.
• Optionally hide empty sections on Summary tab. See Settings/Configure tabs/Summary tab/Hide empty sections.
• If the summary tab is currently selected, then pressing the summary tab again will bring up a list of launch actions. This is mainly useful when using the hide empty sections option to launch apps for empty sections not displayed on the Summary tab.
• Optionally force portrait mode for the lock/welcome screen on phones that default to landscape (e.g., Dell Streak). See Settings/Force portrait mode.
• Scrollable widgets as long as your launcher supports version 2 of the scrollable widgets extension, such as: ADW, Launcher+, Go and Zeam.
• K-9 integration
• Support for Got To Do
• You can now have the option of using just 1 preview on the Summary tab (e.g., leaving the rest of the space for widgets & shortcuts); previously the Summary tab required at least 2 previews
• New Glass theme by Andrea! If you give it a try, please let us know what you think.
• Optionally limit the maximum number of lines per section on the Summary tab.
• Include tasks on the Summary tab.
• Sort order for GTasks.
• Backup & restore app settings. Use when upgrading from free to paid version, or when changing phones or doing factory reset. See MENU/Settings/Backup or Restore. Note that backed up settings are encrypted to protect sensitive info.
• the EA lock screen will now also work with Gentle Alarm. If you use an alarm clock app that does not work with EA, please let us know and we will try to add support for it as well.
• You can now reorder the tabs however you like. See Settings/Tab order.
• Option to show all lists for GTasks: from the list selection menu, press "Select all".
• Fixes a problem with non-English fonts on the Reader tab
• Support for GTasks by Dato
• Support for ToDO Task Manager
• follow links in Reader, Twitter, and Facebook
• New option for icons-only widgets: choose to launch the associated app, instead of the expanded preview, when a tab is presssed. Select in Settings/Widget options/\'Tab-press launches app\'. Sorry, but this option is only enabled in the paid version of the app.
• New icons for the Tasks tab. Big thank you to Andrea for creating these!
• Astrid support. If you use the Astrid Task/TODO list app you can now preview your tasks. See Settings/Configure tabs/Tasks.
• Better support for Summary-only on the widgets. If you only use the Summary tab, the tab bar will now be hidden (just like on the Lock/Welcome screen).
• Auto-clear option: if enabled for a tab, then the tab will automatically be cleared when the associated app is launched. Select in Settings/Configure tabs.
• MULTIPLE POP/IMAP ACCOUNTS! If you are already using the POP/IMAP add-on you will need to update to the latest version (even if you only need 1 account).
• Optional repeating notifications for email, SMS, and missed calls. See MENU/Settings/Configure tabs.
• Select how many days to include in your agenda (default is 1). See MENU/Settings/Configure tabs/Calendar/Max number of days.\n
• WIDGET THEMES! You can now choose a different look for the Executive Assistant widgets. See Settings/Widget options/Theme. Currently available is a Sense-like Theme, with others coming soon. We are deeply grateful to a very talented Italian who prefers to be known only as Andrea for volunteering his time and energy to developing this theme. If you try it out, please let us know what you think.
• Support for new sign-in approach required by Twitter. If you are already using Twitter, you will need to reconnect: go to Settings/Configure tabs/Twitter and toggle \'Show Twitter tab\' off, then on again and follow the prompts.
• Support for Google Voice text messages. See MENU/Settings/Configure tabs/SMS/Google Voice Setup.
• New for Froyo (already available for earlier versions of Android): access the phone\'s GMail database directly with just your email address. To select this option, go to Settings/Configure tabs/Email/Manage accounts. Delete your existing gmail accounts, then re-add them. When adding them now, you will have the option of either getting the gmail from the phone\'s database or over the internet from Google.
• You can now add shortcuts to the lock/welcome screen. See MENU/Widgets & Shortcuts. Long-press an existing shortcut to delete it (only when the screen is not locked).
• Optionally allow Executive Assistant to handle your email & SMS notifications (select in the EMail & SMS sections of Settings/Configure tabs). This option will save you from having to manually dismiss the email & SMS notifications from the status bar.
• Supports Facebook's new API. Note that Facebook is still in the process of making changes to the API, so you may experience occasional problems with the Facebook tab. If you do, please email us and we will update Executive Assistant as quickly as possible. Important: if you were already using the Facebook tab you will need to reconnect (uncheck, then check \'Show Facebook tab\' in Settings) to use the new API.
• Optionally show the Summary tab on larger widgets (3x3, 3x4, 4x3, & 4x4). See Settings/Widget options.
• lots of changes \'under the hood\' for better performance and smaller memory size. You may or may not notice the difference depending on your phone and how you use this app.
• MULTIPLE EMAIL ACCOUNTS: See Settings/Configure tabs/Email/Manage accounts. Setup as many GMail and Google apps accounts as you like, plus an optional POP/IMAP account (future updates will also support multiple POP/IMAP accounts).
• option to turn off next alarm line on Summary tab (see Settings/Configure tabs/Summary tab)
• 1x1 & 2x1 icons-only widget sizes for people who only use a few tabs. The 1x1 widget can hold at most 2 tabs, the 2x1 widget can hold at most 5 tabs.
• Multi-day events will now show progress (e.g., day 2 of 4) - previously they were listed on the start date.
• Date & time format will now follow any specific settings you may have set in HOME/Settings.
• Corporate calendar is now supported for Android 2.2 or later, or if you have the Motorola Corporate Calendar app, such as found on the Droid.
• Calendar color codes are now displayed by default next to events. See Settings/Configure tabs/Calendar/\'Use calendar colors\' to turn the colors off.
• added an \'unlock slider\' to the lock screen - slide it across the screen to unlock your phone (securely if pattern locked).
• using the BACK key to unlock is now optional. See Settings/Lock screen options/BACK unlocks.
• Three changes for Android 2.x lock screen mode (not applicable to 1.5 & 1.6):
• if you pattern-lock your phone, you now have the option to unlock using a pin instead. See Settings/Configure tabs/Lock screen options/Secure unlock options. Only for Android 2.1 - Android 2.2 has built-in pin unlock support.
• if you do not pattern lock your phone, the HOME button no longer unlocks the phone (use the new slider option instead). The HOME key will now return you to the system lock screen.
• the phone will no longer wake on any button press -- it will now only wake up the same way it would with the system lock screen (e.g., just with the POWER button on the Droid or Nexus 1). Please email us if you preferred the \'any button unlocks\' approach. If there is enough interest we will bring it back as an option.
• the summary tab of the lock/welcome screen can now include any combination of missed calls, events, email, and SMS (and when not included on the summary tab, missed calls and events can optionally have dedicated tabs, just like on the widget). Press any icon on the Summary tab to launch the associated app, or press any summary preview to get an expanded preview including tab-specfic controls.
• You can now access your non-Google email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) using POP/IMAP! See \'Using POP/IMAP\' in Help for instructions. Note that Exchange support is not yet ready, but we are working on it.
